About me

  • Professionally qualified (BA HONS), experienced counsellor and psychotherapist based near Winchester and Eastleigh providing confidential counselling, psychotherapy, CBT and relationship counselling to adults and couples

Hello I'm Nikki, thank you for visiting my profile and a very warm welcome. Here's the good news,  whatever you might be struggling with, be it in your relationship, personal or work life, counselling can help. I understand that it can be difficult reaching out and finding the right therapist and I am here to help with that.

How I can help

With over 13 years of experience working with clients, I understand that it's difficult sometimes to even know what we are looking for in a counsellor especially if we are feeling sad, confused, distressed or unhappy. To help you with this I can offer you a warm, and non judgemental space in which to explore, identify and work on a range of problems and situations that may be troubling you in complete confidence.

Counselling can give us a new perspective and the ability to see things more clearly. It helps us identify areas in ourselves or our lives that we would like to change and give us back a sense of control. Bringing about change in this way can help us lead a happier and more fulfilling life.

I would be delighted to offer you an initial 30 minute informal consultation free of charge and without obligation. This will give us the opportunity to meet either online or face to face (covid secure) and discuss what is troubling you and how I am able to help.

My practice is located in Colden Common near Winchester within easy reach of Eastleigh, Chandlers Ford and surrounding areas and there is parking available.

If you would like to discuss your requirements or find out more about counselling you are very welcome to call me in confidence on 07411512482 and leave me a message or alternatively you can email me at nikkicharrett@live.co.uk

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
