About me
Hello, my name is Neusha and I offer CBT and psychotherapy to adults.
I believe therapy can be a meaningful and transformative process that helps people make sense of themselves and their experiences. Many people come to therapy experiencing anxiety, low mood/depression, overthinking, or feeling stuck in patterns that no longer feel helpful. Some people come with a clear difficulty in mind, while others simply want space to make sense of what’s going on and feel less alone with it.
I see therapy as a gradual journey of healing and understanding, with the client-therapist relationship at the heart of it. I offer direct, practical and emotionally attuned therapy and aim to create a safe space where we can explore what’s going on for you and gently work towards finding what’s at the root of your difficulties and test new methods of coping.
I am an integrative psychotherapist and a CBT therapist (pending accreditation). I have trained in different types of therapy and support people with a wide range of difficulties, with a particular focus on CBT. This means I can use different approaches and techniques, choosing what feels most helpful for you. I believe therapy should be shaped around the individual, as everyone’s needs are different. While training and theory are important, I feel that real and lasting change comes from the supportive relationship we build together.
As someone with British-Iranian heritage and having embarked on my own journey of therapy, I bring a culturally sensitive approach and welcome people from all backgrounds, cultures, genders, sexual orientations, and life experiences. I recognise the courage it takes to seek help and be truly vulnerable. These experiences shape how I work and creating a safe, supportive, and non-judgemental space is central to how I work.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have experience working in NHS, charity and private mental health services. My work has included supporting people with long-standing emotional difficulties, as well as depression, anxiety, and self-esteem issues. I have also worked with complex and severe mental health difficulties, including experiences of psychosis (such as hearing voices and holding fixed, unusual beliefs/delusions) and bipolar disorder.
I use a mix of CBT, psychodynamic, humanistic and existential concepts in my work.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
