About me

Our lives can be, and often are, incredible. However, our lives can sometimes be, and often are, really tough.

In those difficult times, we can feel alone with our thoughts and feelings, and subsequently find it really hard to reach out. So, you deserve a massive shout-out for making such a big step forward. Allow yourself the credit you deserve!

My role is to provide you with a warm, understanding and non-judgmental space, to help you explore and process whatever has led you to consider therapy, and to support you in achieving what you would like to take away from this experience.

I will back this up with tools from both my professional expertise and also my personal experience as a human being - and all that comes with it - just like you!

As a gay male, I have my own unique personal experiences growing up with questions and coming to terms with my sexuality.

As part of the LGBTQIA+ community, I aim to understand and empathise with you if you are having your own questions, concerns, or difficult experiences, and above all, to provide you with a safe, comfortable and non-judgmental space to explore these issues, whatever they may be.

If any of this speaks to you, or you are curious to know a little more, please do get in touch, and we can book you in for a free-of-charge introductory phone call.

Training, qualifications & experience

  • As a Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, I have over 4 years of training, culminating in my qualification of Level 5 Professional Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling Practice (Prof.Dip Psy C).
  • I am an accredited registrant member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (MNCPS (Acc.).
  • I have worked in a voluntary capacity at a local counselling service charity, supporting clients with a broad range of presenting difficulties.
  • I have worked in a voluntary capacity with Cruse, a registered bereavement charity supporting those with grief and loss.
  • I have experience working in a non-therapeutic role within my local Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS). This does not qualify me to work with those under 18 years of age, however, I have a breadth of learning experience from the role and from working with clinical colleagues within the service, which has enhanced and added to my abilities as a Psychotherapeutic Counsellor.
  • I have had experience working in domiciliary & social settings as a Support Worker for adults & children with physical disabilities and neurodivergence. This has given me a detailed insight into the experiences and difficulties faced in life by the service users and families I have worked with.
