About me
Serenity CBT
DR NEEMA CHUDASAMA MBBS, BSc, PGDip
As a therapist, I believe that each of us holds a deep knowledge of ourselves. We are, in many ways, our own greatest resource when it comes to understanding and improving our mental health. However, the skills and tools to navigate this process aren’t always something we’re taught, and there are moments in life where we all need support. That’s where I come in—to help guide and empower you on your journey to becoming your own therapist. Together, we’ll work collaboratively to unlock your potential, as there is no greater gift you can give yourself than the ability to care for your mental health with confidence and clarity.
My work is centred around adults experiencing a variety of depression and anxiety-related challenges, and I tailor my approach to each individual because no two people’s experiences are the same. By utilising third-wave CBT approaches, including Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness, I ensure our work is holistic, flexible, and aligned with your personal goals.
My journey in healthcare began when I qualified as a medical doctor from King’s College London, with an intercalated BSc in Philosophy and Basic Medical Sciences. While working as a doctor, I developed a deep passion for supporting people beyond medication. I became fascinated with how our inner world and relationships shape mental health. This realisation led me to pursue further training in psychotherapy and counselling at Regent’s College, followed by a post-graduate diploma in CBT. For over 10 years, I have worked as a senior psychological therapist in the NHS and as a private therapist, including at corporate settings such as Morgan Stanley.
In my practice, I work with individuals facing challenges such as social anxiety, panic/agoraphobia, health anxiety, OCD, binge eating, PTSD, phobias, general anxiety disorder, depression, low self-esteem, perfectionism, workplace stress, and burnout. I have a particular interest in supporting professional women in managing self-worth and confidence.
The foundation of effective therapy is trust and a genuine connection, and that’s why I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation to see if we are the right fit. If I’m not the best person to support you, I’ll be happy to provide suggestions and recommendations to guide you in the right direction.
Taking the first steps toward healing is courageous, and I deeply respect the strength it takes to begin this journey. I am here to help you rediscover and harness your own ability to create lasting and meaningful change in your life. Together, we can build the skills that will support your mental health and empower your well-being in a way that you can sustain for the long term.

Further information
The motto at Serenity CBT is, "Working together to empower change".
These words were carefully chosen to reflect my ethos towards mental health and working with people to empower them to become their own therapists. I value working collaboratively with people, tailoring the treatment to their needs and facilitating self discovery in order to help people learn better ways of managing distress.
