About me

I offer humanistic talking therapies pulling from theories such as Gestalt, Person Centred Theory and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), utilising CBT techniques and Creative methods to explore it from your unique experience. I love working creatively with a client, whether that be with imagery, words, or any medium.

My aim is to come alongside you, and help you explore and understand whatever is on your mind.
Walk through it with you, and see how you can better understand what’s troubling you, connect with uncertain feelings, and discover new choices to move forward.

The focus of the work comes from you, and we move at your pace, together. Therapy can be scary if you're new to it, and I aim to make it as smooth as it can be. It can be a bumpy ride, but you don't need to go it alone.

I was drawn to this work from my own lived experience. As a Neurodivergent (AuDHD), disabled man, there have been many hardships I have faced, and I felt better when I had someone to talk to about it. Now, I work as the person who sits with others in the darker moments, as people work on their life, their troubles, and their experiences, until they find the light again.

It is a privilege to be that person, every day is different, challenging, and exciting.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
