About me

I am a qualified Counsellor and Psychotherapist, registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

Life can feel overwhelming at times, especially in a world that moves so fast and asks so much of us. You might feel stuck, anxious, stretched beyond your limits and unsure how to cope. There’s so much uncertainty around us, it’s understandable that many of us feel more anxious than ever. Reaching out for support can feel like a big step. If you’re here, it means you’ve already taken that step. You don’t have to figure everything out on your own. We can work together, in a safe and supportive space, to help you feel better equipped to handle life’s challenges. Talking things through can have a very positive impact on your life!

My aim is to offer a non-judgemental, safe and confidential space for you to explore the challenging feelings you may be experiencing, supporting you to establish new ways of functioning, improving your overall wellbeing. Creating a space where you feel welcomed, heard, and valued is central to my approach.

If you’re considering therapy, please feel free to reach out for an initial conversation. This gives us the opportunity to connect and ensure you feel comfortable before making any commitment. Therapy can be a meaningful journey, helping you build self-esteem and develop a deeper understanding of yourself.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a qualified Counsellor and Psychotherapist, with a post-graduate certificate in Early Childhood Education, and in Working with children, young people and families: a psychoanalytic observational approach (Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust).

I have experience working as a psychotherapist with young people and adults in private practice.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
