About me
For over 17 years, I have been supporting adults, children, young people, and families to navigate life’s challenges and move towards greater emotional wellbeing. As a qualified person-centred counsellor, I believe that each person has an innate capacity for growth, healing, and positive change when they are met with empathy, acceptance, and genuine understanding.
At the heart of my practice is the therapeutic relationship. I offer a warm, compassionate, and non-judgemental space where you can feel safe to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at your own pace. Rather than telling you what to do, I work alongside you, helping you reconnect with your own inner strengths, gain deeper self-awareness, and find a way forward that feels authentic to you.
Over the years, I have found that no single approach suits everyone. While person-centred counselling remains the foundation of my work, I also draw upon Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), transformational healing, and guided meditation where these feel appropriate and beneficial. These gentle, complementary approaches can help support emotional regulation, reduce stress, deepen self-awareness, and encourage healing in a way that honours each person’s unique journey.
Alongside individual counselling, I also work with families and facilitate therapeutic groups and process groups. Family therapy provides an opportunity to understand patterns of communication, strengthen relationships, and create healthier ways of connecting with one another. Group work offers a powerful space where shared experiences can reduce feelings of isolation, foster belonging, and encourage personal growth through authentic connection and mutual support.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
