About me
Hey, I’m Nat
I work with people navigating mixed identity and in-between experiences. Those who don’t always feel they fit into one place, but often see, hold, and carry more as a result.
I believe in hope, in help, and in starting just where we are to find a way forward.
I’ve seen and truly believe that it is possible to transform your life, heal from what you’ve experienced, and move towards a way of living that might feel impossible right now.
Whether you are looking for healing, transformation, or simply a space to breathe, to speak, and to reflect therapy can offer that, and more.
- You might be someone who is usually the strong one.The capable one.
- From the outside, you may seem steady and in control but inside, it can feel heavier than people realise.
- You might feel like you don’t quite belong anywhere.
Like you’re always searching for connection, but not quite finding it.
This can be especially true when you’re navigating mixed identity living between cultures, perspectives, or expectations, and not always feeling fully seen or understood.
Maybe you’re carrying things from the past that haven’t fully settled.
Maybe your mind doesn’t switch off.
Maybe you’re tired of holding it all together.
Maybe parts of your experience haven’t had space to be recognised,or haven’t felt safe enough to be explored.Whatever is going on, you don’t have to hold it alone.
This is a space where you can be met as you are in a way that feels safe, relevant, and real.
How I work
I offer a thoughtful, hopeful space where we can slow things down and make sense of what’s happening at your pace.
A space to reflect.
A space to understand.
A space to move forward in a way that feels right for you.
Counselling
Counselling offers a space for regular support — to reflect, to process, and to work through what you’re carrying.
This is your space.
I work alongside you, at your pace, exploring your experiences, thoughts, and feelings including the impact of identity, belonging, and the environments you’ve moved through.
EMDR
EMDR is an approach that helps you process experiences that feel stuck or unresolved, so they no longer continue to affect you in the same way.
This can be particularly helpful where trauma and identity intersect.
Experiences such as:
Feeling unseen or misunderstood
Navigating multiple cultural expectations
Repeated experiences of not belonging
Moments that have shaped how you see yourself or others
These experiences are not always held in words, they can live in the body, in reactions, and in patterns that don’t fully make sense.
EMDR supports your mind and body to process these experiences more fully, reducing their emotional impact and allowing you to feel more grounded, more in control, and more able to move forward.
Coaching
Coaching offers a space to explore your personal or professional direction.
It supports you to think clearly, discover your own solutions, and move towards your goals in a way that feels steady and aligned.
What I can help with
Trauma or difficult past experiences
Mixed identity and in-between experiences
Feeling a lack of belonging or connection
Anxiety, overthinking, or feeling constantly “on”
Feeling overwhelmed or mentally exhausted
Leadership pressure or being the one others rely on
Feeling disconnected from yourself or your direction
Self-acceptance and building self-esteem
A bit about me
I have a particular interest in working with people navigating mixed identity, including mixed-race experiences.
This can include feeling between worlds, not fully understood, or holding experiences that haven’t always had space to be recognised.
This work is not about defining you - but about creating space for all parts of your experience to be seen, understood, and integrated.
Closing
Whatever your reason for seeking support, this is a space where you don’t have to make yourself fit.
You can come just as you are.
You are welcome, exactly as you are.
Finding the right counsellor matters.
If this feels like it might be a good fit, you’re very welcome to get in touch for an initial chat.
Training, qualifications & experience
EMDR
I offer EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing), an evidence-based therapy that helps the brain process distressing or overwhelming experiences.
Sometimes difficult events remain stored in ways that continue to affect how we feel about ourselves and the world around us.
EMDR helps the mind process those experiences so they no longer carry the same emotional intensity. Many people find that things which once felt heavy or overwhelming begin to feel more settled and integrated.
I am a member of EMDR UK.
Counselling
I offer counselling for people who want space to reflect, understand patterns in their lives, and make meaningful changes.
Some people come because of past experiences that still affect them. Others come because something in their present life no longer feels sustainable.
Counselling can be a place to pause, think clearly, and reconnect with what matters.
I’m accredited BACP and work blending various approaches to support each unique human who comes to be for support. In counselling we talk, we create, we may just sit. I provide that safe comfortable place for you to work through.
I have 17 years experience in counselling.
I have special interest areas:
- Working with mixed raced identities and impact.
- Working with those impacted by maternal and/ or paternal fractures or trauma
- Low self esteem
- Healing from complex relationships.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Wider work
Alongside my therapy work, I also contribute to wider conversations about mental health, leadership and human development through speaking, training and professional work.
I’m also the founder of a project close to my heart that reflects my belief in the potential people have to heal, grow and create meaningful change in their lives and communities.
