About me

I have worked as a counsellor since 2007. I believe that Counselling should be accessible to everyone.

Complex issues can be made less challenging and daunting by Talking Therapy.

I trained as an Integrative Counsellor, and my main area of expertise are working with Addictions, from Substance to Sexual or Gambling.Sexual Abuse, Mental Health, Anxiety and working as a Young Person Counsellor.

I strongly believe that sessions do not follow a strict format but should flow depending on what the client wishes to work on. My working Model can incorporate Art therapy, looking at the past, life patterns but working eclectically to get the best results for a client. I foster a common sense approach and look at the every day life lessons that we can learn.

The Counselling relationship should be right for you and I am happy to assist you with making informed choices about how you can explore the things that have lead you to access counselling.

Counselling should be about enriching our lives and making choices that shape your future, whilst sometimes making the past not such a scary place.

I work covering the area of Monmouth and Caerphilly

My work has led me down a path to be much more intuitive within myself, compassionate, kind and to challenge people negative perceptions. The counselling Journey can help you fulfil your self-esteem goals and establish a genuineness where you can truly be yourself and belong safely.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
