About me
Something has brought you here - and you don't need to have it all figured out yet. Maybe life has felt increasingly hard to carry, or something has happened that's shifted everything. Whatever brings you to this page, I'm glad you're here.
I'm a person-centred therapist based in Buxton, and I offer a warm, unhurried space where you can speak honestly without fear of judgment. I believe you are the expert on your own life - my role is to sit alongside you, not to direct or advise, but to help you find your own clarity and ground.
I have particular experience working with:
Bereavement and grief, including supporting people through serious illness - I trained at Blythe House Hospice in Buxton and understand how grief rarely follows a straight line.
Anxiety and depression
Intimate partner violence and coercive control - supporting people at all stages, whether still in a relationship or rebuilding after.
Life transitions and identity - including young adults navigating who they are and what they want.
Overwhelming emotions that feel hard to name or manage.
I trained at the University of Salford, completing an MSc in Counselling, and my practice is grounded in person-centred therapy alongside trauma-informed and CBT-informed approaches.
I work with adults and young people from 16 upwards. Sessions are available in person in Buxton and online.
If you're wondering whether therapy might help, it's okay to reach out just to ask.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
