About me

ADDICTIONS SPECIALIST, CLINICAL SUPERVISOR, ASSOCIATE LECTURER.

If you feel worried or depressed in your present situation and/or stuck and unhappy in your relationship, talking to a therapist may be the best choice you make. Therapy offers a safe and confidential space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings, get support, understanding and professional guidance towards a resolution and peace of mind.

My focus in therapy is to empower and resource you to make the best choice and decision to relief your distress.  I believe that therapy may also support you towards integrating mind, body and heart and achieving a more balanced and harmonious sense of self. Whilst we cannot control what happens outside of ourselves we can become more clear and decisive to make the changes we want to make, or to choose how to live with what cannot be changed.

How I can help:
As a counselling psychologist I hold a doctorate in psychology with a specialist focus on counselling techniques. Therefore I am able to integrate psychological theory and research with therapeutic practice to enable clients to identify areas of emotional distress and explore underlying causes.

I have over 15 years experience as an addiction specialist, working in NHS and private sector. I am also highly experienced in working with a spectrum of psychological conditions from emotional stress, anxiety, depression or relationship issues to more enduring personality disorders and acute mental health issues.

Our work together will be ethically conducted, highly confidential and with guaranteed anonymity, also with empathy and compassion in a non-judgemental and authentic way.
