About me

Hi my name is Michelle

By being here, like many others, you are possibly hoping to improve how you or someone you care about is currently feeling, here are some examples of reasons others have started counselling; anxiety, low mood, ADHD, past experiences, identity, family. (there is a longer list at the end of the page)

You can feel stuck, or feel like you are going round in circles or even feeling totally lost at what to do, counselling can help, by offering you an opportunity to feel better, to find new ways of addressing issues you are struggling with, can increase your self-esteem and give you ways to continue to keep yourself well in the future.

I understand the enormity of even thinking about talking with someone and appreciate how daunting this may feel. I always look forward to meeting and working with new people. I am friendly, easy to talk to and dedicated to my professional approach. I offer various types of therapy/counselling that is uniquely tailored to your needs to ensure you get the best possible outcome for yourself.

I feel privileged to work with so many people with different backgrounds and communities. For the past seven years I have been part of an inclusive and diverse service that celebrates and actively encourages individuality. I am passionate about individuals achieving their full potential in life and appreciate each opportunity I am given to spend time working with each person I meet.

I offer a free initial consultation. I will always respond to your enquiry within 24 hours Monday to Friday. And aim to book your appointments for a day and time that will work for you. I will provide sessions that will be focused on you and your well-being. I have over 15 years experience as a qualified counsellor. I am a member of the BACP and adhere to their ethical framework, I am also an accredited member of IPTUK.

To work alongside people and see their well-being improve is a privilege that I value greatly.

Thank you for visiting my page. If you would like to get in touch please do, I truly look forward to hearing from you.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Interpersonal Psychotherapy UK (IPT UK)

Interpersonal Psychotherapy UK (IPT UK) is a multi-disciplinary interest group for people involved in the training, practice and theory of Interpersonal Psychotherapy.
