About me

Hi my name is Michelle I am an integrative counsellor and an IPT therapist with over 15 years experience. I moved to private practice in 2024 after providing services within a Liverpool organisation during the past seven years. I am a member of BACP and adhere to their ethical framework I am an accredited member of IPTUK. I also hold a DBS.  In my private practice I work with adults and young people. I also work in a high school supporting students.

By being here, like many others, you want to improve how you are currently feeling and hoping to feel different to how you do right now. Some examples of what you may have experienced may be, living with anxiety, depression, past experiences, neurodiversity, identity and family issues. (more examples at the bottom of this page).  Counselling/talking therapy really does help in making the difference. Let's make the change together.

I understand the enormity of even thinking about talking with someone and appreciate how daunting this may feel. I always look forward to meeting and working with new people. I will encourage and support you in the hope that we can make a difference and change your life for the better. I am dedicated to my professional approach.

I offer a free initial consultation. I will always respond to your enquiry within 24 hours Monday to Friday. And aim to book your appointments for a day and time that will work for you. I will provide sessions that will be totally focused on you and your well-being.

You can feel stuck, or feel like you are going round in circles or even feeling totally lost at what to do, counselling can help, by offering you an opportunity to rediscover yourself, find new ways of addressing things, increase how you value yourself and give you ideas and ways to keep yourself well in the future.

I have been privileged to work with so many people with different backgrounds and communities. For the past seven years I have been part of an inclusive and diverse service that celebrates and actively encourages individuality. I am passionate for individuals to achieve their full potential in life, by dedicating time just for yourself makes a difference to you and your well-being. To work alongside people and see lives improve is a privilege that I value greatly.

If there is something you think I can help you with please get in touch.

Thank you for visiting my page. I truly look forward to hearing from you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

IPT UK
Interpersonal Psychotherapy UK (IPT UK)
