About me
My name is Michelle and I am an integrative counsellor, specialising in bereavement and loss. I believe that every person is an individual and every circumstance is unique and I work in a way that is reflective of this and adaptable in supporting you in a way that is as unique as you are.
My own lived experiences have created my passion for supporting others to navigate their circumstances and challenges. I seek to offer a warm, safe and welcoming environment to explore these together.
I work in many different areas, a full list can be found below, but I specialise in loss, bereavement, pre-bereavement, working with carers and family difficulties. Grief impacts every aspect of your life and the intense variety of emotions can feel very overwhelming. I am here to listen, support and to be with you in your grief process. Grief can feel very isolating and lonely and you do not have to be alone in navigating all of the practical and emotional elements that grief brings. I have helped clients navigate their grief processes, navigate anticipatory grief and explore challenges in their changing roles as a carer. Loss also comes in many forms such as loss of an identity/role, sense of purpose/direction, disability, divorce, redundancy or other life changes. Whatever your reason behind seeking therapy we can navigate and explore this together.
I am a member of the National Counselling Psychotherapy Society and adhere to their professionals standards and ethics.
I offer an initial free telephone consultation where we can discuss any questions or queries you may have. I look forward to hearing from you.
