About me
My counselling work is all about creating a safe, compassionate space where you can share your story without fear of judgement.
I’m based in Ramsgate, Kent, and I work with adult clients facing some of life’s most difficult challenges - specialising in bereavement, medical trauma (including living with or processing a terminal or life-altering illness diagnosis), sexual identity, and addiction. If you’re experiencing anxiety or depression, we can work together to gently explore the roots of what you’re feeling and develop supportive strategies to improve your mental well-being.
My path into counselling began from a deep belief that nobody should have to carry their pain alone. Over the years, I’ve witnessed how understanding, empathy, and the right tools can help people navigate even the most overwhelming experiences.
As an integrative counsellor, I combine person-centred warmth, psychodynamic depth, and practical CBT strategies - adapting my approach so it fits you, not the other way around.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a fully qualified integrative counsellor, trained to work with adults across a range of emotional, psychological, and life challenges. My approach draws on person-centred therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), allowing me to adapt our work to suit your individual needs and preferences.
My formal counselling training includes:
- Level 5 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling (Integrative) - covering theory, skills, and professional ethics
- Advanced study in CBT techniques for anxiety, depression, and behaviour change
Training in psychodynamic theory to explore how past experiences shape present challenges - Person-centred counselling for empathetic, client-led sessions
Additional CPD in bereavement and grief support, medical trauma, sexual identity, and addiction recovery
I am committed to ongoing professional development to ensure my practice is informed by the latest research and best practice.
