Michael Bryant, MSW, Dip. Counselling, Dip. Clinical Hypnotherapy

Counselling can also help provide you with new skills and new ways of looking at areas where you may feel stuck.
- I am an qualified counsellor and hypnotherapist with over 25 years experience.
- I am registered with the BACP and am UKRCP accredited.
- I work with individuals, couples and children from the ages of 8 and older.
I have provided counselling to many people for nearly three decades and would like to work with you to help you to feel more confident and better able to cope.
Hypnotherapy is solution orientated and each session 50 minutes. During each session I not only help to resolve your problem, but I also assist you in learning self-hypnosis so that you can maintain the success you achieve as well as acquire a skill for life.
Hypnotherapy can help you with emotional problems such as depression, stress anxiety, panic attacks, phobias and can also provide help with some skin conditions and habits such as smoking, over-eating, nail-biting or bedwetting.
I am also co-author of the books, "Hypnotherapy for Dummies" and "Self Hypnosis for Dummies"'', both published by John Wiley and Sons Publishing.
All matters are confidential in counselling and hypnotherapy, which allow you to feel secure in exploring the areas you feel you need to talk about.

Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
