About me

Welcome to MindMove Counselling & Supervision.
Based in Leeds providing face to face sessions & offering online support UK wide.

I am qualified, experienced and registered & accredited with the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy.

I work extensively with individuals & couples.

Couples can be made up of those in an intimate relationship, siblings or parent and grown up child for example. You may be looking to better connect,  to improve the way you communicate or there could be something specific you need to talk through.

I appreciate that asking for support may not feel easy but you have already taken the first step.

If you have experienced counselling already, you may wish to build on previous work or bring something completely new.

Counselling can be something which aids you, enlightens you, helps you gain another perspective and build a new set of coping strategies.

My role is to support you and provide you with a confidential space, while you navigate a particular difficulty or work to strengthen aspects of yourself or your relationship.

There is no age limit in our work together from 18 years upwards. Our sessions can be face to face,  by telephone or video.

I work relationally, integrating a variety of counselling theories and practice and use these approaches as appropriate.
This means the work we do together is tailored and personalised to you, focusing on your needs.

No issue is too small for counselling … if it is affecting you or someone you care for.

Please contact me, via email, text or call, so that we can arrange a free 15 minute telephone consultation, where you can ask any questions you may have.

My fee is competitive and can be discussed at point of contact.

My therapy spaces are located in Oulton (LS26) & in Chapel Allerton (LS7), but you may wish to have telephone or video sessions instead. Working online may provide you with more flexibility around other commitments or you may prefer a combination of f2f & online. Clients have a lot of success working all ways.

In my other work as a Clinical Supervisor,  I can support you if you are a Counsellor or Psychotherapist/if you work in education/if you are part of a Pastoral team/are in the health service or other supporting or helping roles.

Please take a look at my website www.mindmovecounselling.co.uk

I look forward to speaking to you soon & hopefully supporting & working with you.

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
