Mia Lake Counsellor (Reg: MBACP) Individual & couples work
As you have stepped into the New Year, what have you felt is holding you back?
Is it time to talk about these issues, these struggles?
Life can feel painful, difficult and fiercely confusing at times and trying to bury or mask emotions can be like placing a plaster over them.
You may be feeling sad or have low mood, have anxiety, be experiencing panic attacks, have feelings of depression, have a phobia, be working your way through family issues. The relationships you have might be causing you to overthink or worry, or you may feel scared.
You may have other reasons for thinking about therapy including loss, bereavement, illness, a recent diagnosis, control and manipulation. You may feel stuck and unable to move forward.
Having a safe, professional space with the right therapist for you, can help you 'move forward'.I am here to support you with that 'move'.
We can work together looking at the things you wish to bring to sessions and we can discover underlying problems behind the difficulties you are experiencing.
I am a Registered member of the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) and work with adult men, women, couples & with young people (11-18 years), on wide ranging issues not mentionated above.
My therapy rooms are in Chapel Allerton (LS7) & Oulton, near Rothwell (LS26) & Colton (Leeds 15). I am also one of the practioners at Healthwise Therapy Centre, in Chapel Allerton, Leeds.
You may prefer, for a variety of reasons, to have telephone, Face-Time, Whatsapp sessions. We can speak about this when you make contact.
HOW COUNSELLING CAN HELP...
For many reasons it can be difficult to speak with family, friends or others you might normally talk to or confide in. People you know may offer advice or pass judgment; our counselling sessions will be free of judgement & confidential.
Being able to speak, without judgement, may provide you with a freedom you are unlikely to have with anyone else. In our sessions together, I support you, I listen to you and we work together to help you make the changes you wish to see.
You can take your time, going at your own pace. While you take your time to 'unravel' some of the things you are struggling with, I will be alongside you, helping you explore some of the emotions you are feeling. I will provide time and space for you, in counselling, when you need to be listened to.
Please make contact if you have any questions, or would like to arrange a free telephone consultation.
