Mia Lake MBACP. Face to face/telephone/video sessions in Leeds & UK wide.
Hello and welcome to MindMove Counselling.
Due to Coronavirus a lot of my work with you is being carried out via telephone and video. I have years of experience working this way with clients. I am also see a small number of clients face to face. Please contact me for further information.
I am a Registered member of the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) and work with adult men, women & couples.
I have a number of years experience working in the education sector, with teachers. head teachers and support staff.
There can be many things that can bring you to seeking professional counselling and having a safe space with the right therapist, can be of enormous support.
You may feel stuck and I am here to help you find a way to move forward and to help you discover some of the underlying problems behind the difficulties you are experiencing.
HOW COUNSELLING CAN HELP...
For many reasons it can be difficult to speak with family, friends or others you might normally talk to or confide in. People you know may offer advice or pass judgment; our counselling sessions will be free of judgement & strictly confidential.
Being able to speak, without judgement, may provide you with a freedom you are unlikely to have in other relationships. In our sessions together, I support you, I listen to you and we work together to help you make the changes you wish to see.
I will provide time and space for you, in counselling, when you need to be listened to.
When you make contact we can arrange a free 10 minute telephone consultation, where you can ask any questions you have.
My fee's are competitive and can be discussed at point of contact.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
