About me
Hi, I’m Dr Louise Marshall, a Senior Clinical Psychologist. I offer in-person therapy sessions in North Glasgow (Stepps) as well as online appointments.
As a skilled Psychologist with over 15 years of experience in adult and older adult mental health, I provide a warm, compassionate, and non-judgmental space to help you make meaningful, lasting changes. I believe a strong therapeutic relationship is at the heart of effective therapy. Together, we will work at a pace that suits you - helping you understand your difficulties, build on your strengths, and align your life with what you truly value. My core philosophy is that "If nothing changes, nothing will change." Every individual’s journey is unique, which is why I tailor therapy specifically to your needs, to find out what will be the most helpful changes for you to make.
I draw from a range of evidence-based psychological therapies, including:
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
- Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT)
- Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT)
Choosing the right therapist is an important decision. I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation to discuss your difficulties and goals, answer any questions, and see if we are a good match.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am an HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologist. I completed my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Glasgow in 2016. I have worked in the NHS since then, and in 2026, I began working as a clinical tutor for Public Services Delivery Scotland, supporting the training of trainee clinical psychologists. I am experienced in providing supervision to other mental health professionals. I work with adults and older adults experiencing anxiety (generalised anxiety, phobias, panic, social anxiety, OCD), depression, bi-polar, grief, trauma-related difficulties (including PTSD), sleep, adjustment issues (including health), low self-esteem, relationship problems, and supporting carers of people with conditions such as Dementia.

school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
