About me

Hello, my name is Meredith and I am a fully qualified and registered member of the BACP. Life can be challenging at times and I offer a calm, safe space where you can begin to gain clarity about the things that are troubling you, whether these things are happening now or have happened in the past. All of us have been through tough times when few things seem to make sense or we feel a bit lost. You may have been through a defined trauma, you may know exactly what you want help with, or maybe you can't put your finger on what is troubling you. Occasionally we all need that extra bit of help and deciding to reach out for it is an important first step. If this is your first or fifth decision to seek counselling then please visit my website where there is enough information for you to make a decision.

I work with individuals in face-to-face counselling and psychotherapy.

Training, qualifications & experience

I was a research psychologist for many years before raising a family and then deciding to re-train as a counsellor. Since I qualified I have worked for Cruse Bereavement and New Pathways in Cardiff. I support people who have experienced significant or difficult life events and my specialties include bereavement and grief work; supporting adults who have experienced childhood abuse; and supporting the families of survivors of childhood abuse abuse; rape trauma; domestic violence; people who have experienced childhood bullying; support for partners of trans-identified people; people who have been affected by infidelity; and children of unloving mothers.

All of these issues can cause anxiety, depression and PTSD, low self esteem and a loss of a sense of who you are all of which I have experience in working with.
