About me

I am passionate about helping people overcome their anxiety and fear so that they can feel happier in their lives. My aim is to help you to make a change for the better....fast!

I treat both adults and children, and in the case of a child, the parent is most welcome to stay for the session if they wish.

I offer consultations from home in a friendly and informal environment so you can feel more relaxed immediately. I believe in listening in a non-judgmental way, so you can feel free to discuss your issue(s) openly and we can work together to find a solution.

At your initial consultation you can express what you would like counselling to help you with and we can discuss various approaches, to find a style that suits you. I am experienced in a variety of talking therapies and can use a blend of therapies to assist you to achieve your goals from counselling. We'll also discuss the frequency of sessions, which can vary from weekly, fortnightly to monthly, depending on your preference and needs.

I can offer telephone / on-line counselling sessions if face to face is not possible.

I believe in a flexible approach and realise that every clients personal situations are unique to them.

Please take a quick look at the client testimonials under "further information" listed below to see some feedback.

It will be my pleasure to help you to feel better, so I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Here are a selection of client testimonials:

"Thank you so much for helping me! Being released from my fear is so liberating and I am truly grateful to you".

"I cannot recommend Mel Pearce highly enough! My life had been over-shadowed by a phobia since childhood. I was convinced that there was no help until someone recommended Mel. After one session I was cured of my fear and the result has been life changing. Mel is a very warm, kind and supportive person and instantly made me feel at ease. I have recommended her to many people and will continue to do so. She is amazing!!!"

"I found Mel to be very personable and non-judgemental which made me feel at ease to discuss problems. After a few sessions I feel like a completely different person. My confidence is high and I look back on the issues that once bothered me and wonder why I got so worked up. I would highly recommend seeing Mel"

"I will use your wonderful imagery and recording a lot and it will help me continue on my way for finding space in my life. I feel I have really left all that behind me and am free of the past. All the very, very best to you Mel and thanks again"

"Mel is amazing. I first had a session with Mel after a relationship break-up and I needed help to feel more positive. One session and the difference was unbelievable. I then had a couple of sessions for my anxiety when going on holiday. This has helped so much and has eased my worries 100%. I can actually look forward to it rather than crying and worrying! Mel is such a lovely lady, easy to talk to, warm and very welcoming. I have recommended her to lots of my friends who I know have had positive results. I would recommend highly. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain. If you are thinking of having a session just do it!"
