About me
I believe that healing begins in a space where you feel genuinely understood and supported. My work is grounded in a person‑centred approach, and I’m committed to offering a calm, compassionate, and non‑judgmental environment where your story can be spoken openly and held with care.
A significant part of my practice involves supporting individuals and couples through the profound grief of pregnancy loss and the loss of a child. Whether your experience involves miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, termination for medical reasons, stillbirth, neonatal loss, or the death of an older child, I recognise how deeply these losses can shape your world. My aim is to walk alongside you at a pace that feels right, helping you make sense of your emotions, honour your experience, and find moments of steadiness as you navigate life after loss.
I also have extensive experience working with people facing fertility challenges, involuntary childlessness, and the emotional impact of treatment pathways. In addition, I offer specialist support for donors, donor‑conceived people, and their families, including the relational and emotional considerations that arise when connecting with genetic relatives.
My professional background includes work in sexual and women’s health, bereavement, work‑related stress and anxiety, and child loss. I bring understanding of neurodiversity and a wide range of mental health experiences, always tailoring my approach to the individual in front of me.
I am a registered member of BACP and BICA, and I have previously worked within an HFEA‑registered fertility clinic and a leading children’s hospital in the North West.
Training, qualifications & experience
I hold an MA in Clinical Counselling from the University of Chester.
I am registered with the British Association of Infertility Counselling (BICA) and have completed their foundation and advanced training courses.
I have completed a 30 hour course on working with Child Loss at the Alder Center, Alder Hey Hospital.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
