About me

Hello

I am an experienced and highly qualified therapist with years of experience working with children, young people, and adults. I am an Art Psychotherapist and EMDR Practitioner offering:

- Psychotherapy,

- Creative Psychotherapy,

- Eye-Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing Therapy

I specialise in working with people who have experienced trauma, PTSD and Abuse, and the difficulties that come from those experiences, such as depression, anxiety, stress, and low self-esteem/confidence.

I believe that empathy, understanding, and a safe space are key to the therapeutic journey and having a safe environment to express, communicate, and reflect on experiences, thoughts, and feelings.

I believe in the importance of psychoeducation to support clients in understanding their own mental health and learn how to build coping strategies to support themselves outside of sessions.

Further information

In your initial session you have time and space to ask any questions about therapy and to get used to the space. In the session you have space to discuss what you are struggling with and ideas for therapy. I work in a person-centered way, to offer support catered to your needs and in a way you are comfortable with. We can use the space to talk, reflect, and process, with the option to use art materials to help you understand, express, and process feelings, and experiences. I also offer the opportunity for psycho-education, as a way to understand your mental health and the way in which your brain works.

Please do get in touch if you have any questions about therapy, and are unsure if it is right for you. I am happy to discuss any concerns/questions to help you understand what is best for you, and what kind of support you may be looking for.

I offer therapy online, in-person, and walk and talk - to give you the option to choose the right support for you
