About me

I work with children, young people and adults, offering a compassionate and inclusive space where clients can feel heard, valued and supported.

Alongside my counselling practice, I have extensive professional experience working with children, young people and families within safeguarding services. This has given me a strong understanding of the challenges that can impact emotional wellbeing, relationships and daily life.

I support clients with a range of concerns, including anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, emotional regulation difficulties, relationship challenges, bereavement, trauma, family difficulties and life transitions.

When working with children and young people, I recognise that talking can sometimes feel difficult. I adapt my approach to suit the individual, creating a safe environment where they can express themselves in ways that feel comfortable and appropriate for their age and stage of development.

I welcome clients from all backgrounds and am committed to providing a respectful, affirming and non-judgemental service. Whatever has brought you to counselling, I aim to work alongside you to help you better understand your experiences and move towards positive and lasting change.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework.

I hold an MSc Counselling (Children and Young People), which provided specialist training in working therapeutically with children and young people experiencing a range of emotional, behavioural and relational difficulties. Alongside my work with children and young people, I also support adults facing a variety of personal and emotional challenges.

In addition to my counselling practice, I have extensive professional experience within safeguarding services, supporting children, young people, adults and families through complex circumstances. This has given me a strong understanding of trauma, attachment, child development, family relationships, risk and the impact of adverse experiences on wellbeing.

I have experience supporting clients with concerns including anxiety, low self-esteem, stress, emotional regulation difficulties, relationship challenges, bereavement, trauma and life transitions.

I am committed to providing a safe, ethical and inclusive service. To support this, I engage in regular clinical supervision and continuing professional development to ensure my practice remains informed, reflective and responsive to the needs of my clients.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
