About me
Hey, I'm Matt. Thanks for checking out my page.
I know reaching out to a counsellor can be tough. It might never feel like the right time, but maybe today is the day to start your Next Chapter. Let's chat and see how we can make things better together!
Whatever challenges you are facing—whether it's betrayal, bereavement, anxiety, depression, low mood, or work and family stress—talking to someone can help make life feel less overwhelming.
As a trained neuro-affirming therapist, I bring a wealth of knowledge about neuro-diversity and can offer support and advice on how to navigate these challenges. Many clients who have been recently diagnosed often reflect on their lives with a new perspective, experiencing a mix of emotions. We can work through this together.
I have completed intensive training in Couples and Relationship Therapy, accredited by COSRT (College of Sexual & Relationship Therapists). This therapy can be transformational not just for traditional couples or intimate partners, but also for family members, business partners, and even as a way of preparing for married life or managing an amicable separation.
With over a decade of experience working in the NHS, much of it in areas supporting people with severe and enduring mental health conditions, I have developed a deep interest in the field of mental health. This journey led me to become a counsellor, and I am now part of a thriving practice, having worked with hundreds of remarkable individuals.
My goal is to provide you with a space where you can speak freely, without fear of judgment. This freedom of exploration often leads to greater clarity and a sense of manageability.
I respect that it takes real courage to see a therapist and explore inner fears and anxieties. We will approach this together, at your own pace, with your well-being as the priority.
I am a member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists and adhere to their professional framework. I am also fully insured.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
