About me
I am an experienced counsellor / psychotherapist registered with the British Psychoanalytic Council and the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists. I am a member of the Society of Analytical Psychology and the International Association of Analytical Psychology. I am a qualified coach and NLP practitioner. I provide a safe confidential space to support you in exploring aspects of your inner or outer life that may be interfering with your ability to enjoy or progress in life. Sometimes we are clear about the causes that are interfering with our lives and other times we have no idea, just a deep sense of something that stirs within and inhibits or troubles us. Working with our stories, dreams, memories and reflections can bring what is unknown into the open with transformative effects. This is what I seek to do.
I have many years experience of dealing with individuals and organizations as a nurse, midwife, counsellor and coach. I am deeply committed to the continuous development of individuals and work relationally and psychodynamically. I have a strong interest in Jungian depth psychology and the quest of individuals to gain deeper understanding of themselves.

I meet with clients in person or on line in central Bedford location where there is easy off road parking in an NCP car park very close by.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

When I work
I can provide flexible session times including, early morning and evening sessions to fit around your other commitments. Weekend sessions are allocated to initial meetings only.

Since life does not stand still and people in society are in a constant state of flux, I regularly attend further education and training courses in order to deepen my skills and knowledge and help me respond effectively to meet changing needs.
