About me

Hello, my name is Marie. I am a BACP registered Psychosynthesis counsellor, based in East Sussex and London.

I have benefited from the wonderful gift of therapy and now support others in their journey of self-exploration.

It seems that the trade of for our fast past society is that many of us our experiencing more anxiety and depression than ever before. Pressures of work, social media, balancing family life while trying to cope and feel happy all the time just feels less achievable.

Symptoms of fear and sadness do not have to be a sign that we are not coping , instead these feelings can be a valuable message that something needs to change. Are you listening to the subtle messages your souls is trying to communicate to you?

Counselling with me can offer support and kinship as we journey through the vital process of valuing your own needs and finding internal validation through self-acceptance.

During therapy sessions I am here to help support and guide you along with your souls journey - feeling supported and witnessed can help you re-connect with you.

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold a (BSc) Degree in Psychology, (PgCert) CBT interventions where I support people suffering with anxiety and depression symptoms in the NHS along with a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychosynthesis Counselling (PGDip), and I accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

I trained at the Psychosynthesis & Education Trust and I am a member of the BACP (MBACP) which employs a strict code of ethics to ensure the highest standards of practice.

My psychosynthesis training was integrative (drawing from all schools of psychology) and I have a tendency toward depth work. Psychosynthesis supports transformation encouraging our fullest realisation of ourselves to be met.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
