About me
I believe change is possible and that counselling can change lives.
Life throws challenges at all of us and sometimes these can feel overwhelming. You may be feeling stuck in negative patterns of behaviour and cycles of thought. You may be feeling overwhelmed and unable to untangle your thoughts. Maybe you have been suffering with depression and anxiety and are unsure where to turn. You may be experiencing difficulty with relationships and relational dynamics, but uncertain why.
The process of counselling brings awareness and without awareness, we cannot change.
I work in an integrative way which means that I am able to draw on a number of theoretical models and together we can find what works best for you. My core way of working is psychodynamic which means that we look at how your past may be impacting on your present. We will explore recurring patterns, often stemming from childhood, which may be getting in the way of living an authentic life, limiting the way that you relate to yourself and others. Through increased awareness and practical strategies, you can begin to shift those patterns and build a more fulfilling life.
I aim to create a warm, open and non‑judgemental space where difficult things can be spoken about honestly and safely. Whether you want to understand recurring relationship dynamics, manage overwhelming emotions, or develop new ways of coping, we will move at a pace that feels right for you.
I work with adults and young people aged 16 and over, supporting people with anxiety, depression, relational difficulties, bereavement and loss and sexual abuse.
I also work with adoption‑related issues. I have experience helping clients navigate identity questions, attachment and trust difficulties, contact and reunion complexities, and the layered grief and loss that can accompany adoption journeys. My adoption focus is informed by attachment theory and trauma‑sensitive practice, and I offer both depth work to explore early relational impacts and practical support to manage day‑to‑day challenges.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
