About me

 Hello  there!

I'm Margaret, want  to introduce myself to you. As an accredited counsellor with over twenty years of experience, I’ve had the privilege of helping many people on their unique counselling journeys. I know that everyone faces life's challenges differently, which is why I take an integrative approach. This means I blend various therapeutic techniques to find what works best for you. I want to ensure that we explore the issues that matter to you, at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

I've worked extensively with people dealing with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship challenges, and more. This has given me a deeper understanding and compassion for those who may be struggling to find their way. I aim to create an open and friendly atmosphere where you can feel at ease talking with me.

The relationship we build together is very important to me, and I prioritize confidentiality, so you can trust that your feelings and experiences are safe with me.

To start, we’ll have a  15-minute chat where we can get to know each other a bit better. This will help us understand where you’re at emotionally and what you’re looking for, so we can see if we’re a good fit.

I look forward to hearing from you!

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
