About me

I am a fully qualified counsellor based in Richmond. My practice is rooted in a person-centred approach, which means I believe you hold the answers within yourself. My role is to create a nurturing, non-judgmental, and empathetic environment where you feel safe enough to explore your thoughts, feelings, and challenges at your own pace. I integrate elements from other approaches, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and psychodynamic perspectives, to offer a truly holistic and bespoke counselling experience.

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, having completed my studies with a deep commitment to understanding the complexities of human experience. My training provided a robust foundation in various therapeutic modalities, allowing me to tailor my approach to your unique needs.

I have experience working in a Secondary School with students and working with adults, supporting every individual through difficult times, helping them develop coping strategies, gain self-awareness, and foster personal growth. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, stress, grief, relationship issues, or simply seeking a space for self-discovery, I am here to walk alongside you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Further information

Taking the First Step: It can feel intimidating to seek support, particularly if you've often felt like you don't quite fit in or haven't always been fully understood. We know from experience how challenging it can be to ask for help. Whether you're ready to move forward or are still thinking it over, we'll respect your pace and the path you're on. When you feel ready, we welcome you to reach out and arrange a meeting.

During our initial session, we'll discuss your background and experiences, which will help us both determine how best to move forward. We will work at your pace and allow you room to grow. On your journey you will gain new perspectives and have a better understanding of your relationships and honouring your personal space.

This process will help you feel more attuned to your needs, feeling more confident, and ability to live the life you want.
