About me
Are you living life to the full... or do you feel there are certain issues or difficulties in your life holding you back? Aspire... Counselling offers one to one counselling in a private practice, situated just on the outskirts of Ballymena. I appreciate that it takes courage to seek counselling and to speak about difficulties in life, so I feel an essential part of the process is to offer you a caring, confidential and safe environment in which to explore and address such issues.
Life can be very challenging at times, we can find ourselves unhappy, looking around us and wondering where things went wrong? Maybe now is a time to reflect, a time to look at life and where you want to go. Past experiences can leave much sadness or regrets, having an impact on our achievements and happiness today. Pushing unresolved issues to the back of your mind, trying to forget about them, but they are always there. These issues can be preventing you from moving forward in your life, and being happy.
There may be difficulties within your marriage or with a partner or maybe a family member. Or are you struggling with anxiety or depression feeling very helpless and alone not knowing where to turn. Being able to talk to someone, share your struggles and insecurities in a safe environment can help you get your life back on track. Aspire…Counselling desires to bring hope and positive direction into difficult situations and to help clients feel supported and safe as they resolve issues or make changes in their live.
"Let this year be the year to move forward"
I offer an integrative approach to counselling, combining a number of different therapeutic approaches to cater to individual needs, enabling and supporting you to "Aspire" to your full potential. We can arrange an initial consultation session offering you the opportunity to meet me and to experience my style of working. After this 1st session you are under no obligation to continue with the counselling if you feel it's not for you.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
