About me
Starting therapy can feel daunting. Reaching out for help often comes at a time when you already feel vulnerable, unsure, or weighed down by what's going on. You don’t have to do this alone. We can explore your concerns in a collaborative space where you can feel fully seen and heard, and where your experiences are treated with empathy, respect, and understanding.
Many of my clients come to me because something isn’t working anymore. They notice themselves repeating the same relationship patterns with partners, family, and friends, or relying on coping strategies that once helped but now leave them feeling stuck, exhausted, or disconnected from themselves. Together, we explore what lies beneath these patterns; your feelings, needs, and boundaries, and work to find new ways of relating and coping that feel authentic, sustainable, and fulfilling.
I also specialise in supporting neurodivergent clients, Autistic, ADHD, AuDHD or exploring diagnosis. Many have spent years masking, trying to push through into burnout, or feeling misunderstood and shamed for being themselves. Sometimes typical psychotherapy does not cater well to neurodivergent clients and can even harm instead of helping. In our sessions, there is no need to fit in or perform to neurotypical expectations. Instead, we focus on ways of working that suit you, reconnecting with who you are, exploring your processing style and strengths, and discovering ways of coping that genuinely support you. This isn’t only about acceptance; it’s about thriving and creating more peace, authenticity, and self-trust in your everyday life.
My clients have described my style as empathic and empowering; they spoke of how it made them feel at ease and understood, as well as how my observations helped them identify and gain clarity on key issues. I see therapy not as fixing you, but as walking alongside you, helping you notice and reflect on what keeps you stuck, and open up possibilities for living with more clarity, freedom, and peace. I blend empathy with practical insight, supporting you to understand yourself more deeply and make choices that align with who you truly are.
If you’d like to know more, I offer a free, no-commitment 20-minute consultation. This is a chance to talk through what you’re looking for and see how it might feel to work together. Please feel free to reach out, I’ll be glad to hear from you.
Training, qualifications & experience
I trained at the Metanoia Institute, completing a Certificate in Therapeutic Skills and Studies followed by a three-year Diploma in Humanistic Psychotherapeutic Counselling. I am also currently undertaking an MSc, as part of my commitment to ongoing learning and to continually deepening my practice.
My Humanistic training draws on Person-Centred, Gestalt, and Transactional Analysis approaches. In practice, this might include reflective dialogue, creative exploration, or structured tools for exploring your sense of self and relational patterns. But above all, I believe therapy is most powerful when it grows out of a genuine, empathic, respectful relationship.
Alongside private practice, I have worked for charities supporting survivors of domestic abuse, and with people experiencing bereavement and traumatic grief. I also worked as a Mental Health Advocate at the Roehampton Priory, supporting people facing acute challenges with their mental health. These experiences have strengthened my admiration for human resilience, and the importance of being truly heard and understood.
I am a neurodiversity affirmative practitioner. This means I work with a commitment to valuing difference, respecting each person’s processing style, and supporting clients to embrace who they are without pressure to conform. I have additional training in Understanding Autism and Disability Affirmative Psychotherapy, and experience supporting clients through late diagnosis, rejection sensitivity, demand avoidance, trauma, burnout, anxiety and shame. This work is not an “add-on,” but central to my wider practice of respecting each person’s individuality and potential.
I am a member of BACP and ACC, and I abide by their ethical frameworks. I hold an Enhanced DBS, ICO registration, and full professional indemnity insurance. My work is supported by regular supervision and continuous professional development, ensuring I practise in ways that are safe, ethical, and grounded. I am committed to providing an anti-discriminatory service and strive to ensure that this practice is present in all my clinical work.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
