About me

Hi, I’m Lydia, a BABCP-accredited psychotherapist with a decade of experience supporting adults. I work with people experiencing anxiety, low mood, stress, and patterns of self-doubt particularly when these feel overwhelming or difficult to shift.

A central part of my work is helping you develop a clearer understanding of yourself. Together, we’ll explore patterns in your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours, building insight and a stronger sense of trust in your own experience. From there, we can begin to gently shift what isn’t working and move towards meaningful, lasting change.

I work in a thoughtful, collaborative way, respecting your pace. My aim is to help you respond to challenges with greater confidence and flexibility, and to move towards a more balanced and grounded way of living.

My approach is grounded in CBT and informed by ACT, DBT, and Compassion-Focused Therapy. I draw on these to help you understand and shift unhelpful patterns, manage intense emotions, and relate to yourself with greater compassion.

I have clinical experience in settings including NHS, IAPT, acute inpatient settings and community outpatient settings. I have also completed placements working with adults with dementia and severe autism. I currently work at North London Priory Hospital, where I offer support for complex cases of anxiety, depression, work-related stress and PTSD, through both group and individual therapy.

Across my work, I bring a consistent focus to compassion, curiosity, and respect for each person’s experience. I aim to offer a calm, confidential space where you can reflect, make sense of things, and gradually move forward with greater self-trust and perspective. There is no “right” reason to be here therapy can simply be a space to better understand yourself.

If this is something you're interested in, I'd be happy to chat.
