Counselling Psychologist

About me

I’m Dr Luke Todd, a Counselling Psychologist offering therapy for men and teenage boys. I work with a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, stress, OCD, trauma, low self-esteem, and relationship difficulties. My approach is integrative, combining CBT, Psychodynamic Therapy, DBT, and Compassion-Focused Therapy to create a plan tailored to your needs.

I offer weekday evening, Friday daytime, and Saturday morning appointments. Sessions are available online via Zoom or Microsoft Teams.

Therapy with me is collaborative and supportive. I aim to help you build clarity, find balance, and develop tools for lasting resilience.

Training, qualifications & experience

Training, Qualifications & Experience
I hold a Doctorate in Counselling Psychology and have over five years’ experience in mental health. My training enables me to work with a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties using evidence-based approaches, including CBT, Psychodynamic Therapy, DBT, and Compassion-Focused Therapy.

Professional Experience
I have worked in both private practice and NHS settings, supporting adults with challenges such as anxiety, depression, OCD, trauma, stress, burnout, low self-esteem, and relationship difficulties. My NHS experience includes helping clients manage complex health conditions such as cancer, chronic pain, and kidney disease. I now work exclusively online, offering flexible appointments to make therapy accessible and convenient.

About Me
Outside of work, I enjoy baking, exercise, and learning about psychology. Having attended therapy as a teenager, I understand how much courage it takes to seek support. My aim is to create a safe, welcoming space where you feel heard and understood. Therapy is your time to pause, reflect, and work toward clarity and balance at your own pace.
