About me
Hello, my name is Lucy and I'm a qualified therapist offering a gentle, non-judgemental space to explore what's going on beneath the surface. I work with individuals who are often described as 'the strong one', the 'peace keeper' or the one 'who's always holding everything together' - even when it may not always feel like that on the inside. You might find yourself overthinking, being hard on yourself, people-pleasing or feeling emotionally disconnected. If this is the case, you're in the right place.
My approach is modern, down-to-earth and rooted in real emotional understanding. I'll work with you through a blended approach to help you better understand why you're feeling the way you do and we'll find techniques to get you un-stuck, reconnected with yourself and feeling more confident, content and peaceful.
In addition to talking therapy, I'm developing immersive and creative ways of working for those who may struggle to open up in typical settings or who would prefer more of a sensory experience. I offer a free 20 minute introductory session, which can be completed via video call or in-person whichever you'd prefer. This session allows us to talk in a calm, confidential environment, for you to ask any questions you may have and to get a feel for whether I'm the right fit for your needs. I look forward to helping you on your journey.
Training, qualifications & experience
I hold a diploma in L4 Therapeutic Counselling with the CPCAB after studying counselling skills for 3 years and completing the practical client sessions. I have since worked with 100's of clients in both agency and private settings and gained a multitude of positive feedback. Previous clients have thanked me for my calm, kind nature and found our sessions especially helpful for allowing them to better understand the patterns they've been stuck in and how to move forward with more clarity and confidence.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
