About me
Welcome, my name is Lucy. I am a qualified person-centred counsellor offering individual therapy for adults (18+) in Horley and Crawley; or online, via Zoom. I provide a warm, compassionate, and confidential space where you can talk openly and be truly heard - without judgement or pressure.
Life can sometimes feel overwhelming, uncertain or heavy and it is okay to need support. Whether you’re facing specific challenges like anxiety, loss, or low self-esteem or simply seeking personal growth and a deeper connection with yourself, counselling can offer a space to pause, breathe, and explore what's going on for you. You don't need to have all the answers to begin - just a willingness to take that first step.
My approach is warm, open and grounded in a way that puts you at the centre. I believe that when you are really listened to and accepted without judgement, it becomes possible to make sense of things and move forward in a way that feels right for you. I won't tell you what to do or give advice - instead I'll offer support, empathy, and a space where you can reconnect with yourself and what matters most to you.
Reaching out for counselling can feel like a big step - but it is one you don't have to take alone. I offer a free initial consultation giving you the chance to ask questions, talk through what you are looking for, and get a sense of whether we'd work well together.
Each person’s counselling journey is unique, which is why I provide both short-term and long-term counselling options tailored to suit your individual needs and goals. Together we can find an approach that feels right for you.
Please feel free to get in touch whenever you feel ready.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
