About me
Hi, I’m Lucy.
You might be here because things feel heavy at the moment. Perhaps you’re going through a difficult life event, feeling the impact of change or loss, or simply feeling worn down by everyday life. You may be noticing anxiety or negative thoughts creeping in and becoming harder to manage. Whatever has brought you here, you don’t have to face it on your own. Talking with a therapist can offer a sense of relief, understanding, and support.
Grief can take many forms. You may be grieving the loss of someone deeply important to you, and that kind of loss can feel incredibly painful, sometimes in ways that are hard to put into words. It can affect how you feel day to day, and how you experience the world around you. At times, it may feel overwhelming or lonely. You might also be grieving a different kind of loss, such as the end of a relationship, a divorce, losing a job, moving home, or a life-changing event that has shifted your sense of stability or who you are. Whatever your experience, your grief is unique to you, and you deserve a space where it can be gently held and understood.
My counselling style is gentle, reflective, and compassionate. I aim to build a trusting therapeutic relationship where you feel safe, heard, and able to explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace. I offer a confidential, non-judgemental space where you can begin to make sense of what you’re going through.
Who I work with:
I work with adults and young people aged 12 and over.
I have a particular focus on supporting people experiencing grief and loss, including:
- Bereavement and the loss of a loved one
- Bereavement of a beloved pet
- Anticipatory grief.
- Relationship breakdown, separation, or divorce
- Loss of identity, Job, or sense of self
- Life changes such as moving, health changes, or work-related loss
I also support clients experiencing:
- Anxiety
- Depression,
- low self-esteem and self-worth
- Trauma
- Neurodivergence (including ADHD)
What therapy is like with me:
My approach is gentle and respectful. As an integrative counsellor, I draw on different approaches, including person-centred therapy and Cognitive Behavioural therapy (CBT). Together, we can explore what you are going through and begin to make sense of it in a way that feels right for you.
Sometimes there isn’t a clear way to describe how you’re feeling. You may simply have a sense that something isn’t quite right, or that you’ve lost touch with who you are. We can take the time to explore this together, at a pace that feels right for you.
I understand that getting in touch can feel like a big step. If you're thinking about reaching out, you've already taken an important first step. To make things a little easier, I offer a free 15-minute introductory call, giving you the opportunity to ask any questions, get a sense of how I work, and see whether we feel like the right fit for one another.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
