About me
Hello, I’m Lucy, the therapist behind Space to Talk Counselling.
You might be here because you're feeling overwhelmed, low in mood, anxious, sad, or stuck. Maybe you’re trying to understand patterns or cycles in your life, or you're at a crossroads and unsure of your next step. You may be carrying unresolved pain or trauma, navigating a difficult transition, or simply in need of a safe, non-judgemental space to offload and reflect.
I support clients in reconnecting with their inner child, the younger, often unheard part of us that still holds unmet needs, pain, or deep emotional truths. Working with the inner child can help you better understand your responses, heal emotional wounds, and move forward with greater compassion for yourself.
I offer a Humanistic Gestalt approach, which means I see you as a whole and unique person, not a list of problems to be fixed. I believe that how we feel often reflects the pain, trauma, and challenges we’ve lived through. Counselling offers space to explore your story, develop self-awareness, and begin meaningful change at a pace that feels right for you.
I understand that finding the right counsellor can feel overwhelming. With so many different approaches out there, it’s not always easy to know who will be the right fit. That’s why I offer a free, no-obligation discovery call, just a friendly chat to see if we might work well together.
I work from a peaceful, purpose-built cabin in my garden in central Eastleigh, a private and welcoming space with its own entrance. I also offer sessions online.
If you’re curious, have questions, or would just like to connect, feel free to get in touch. I’d love to hear from you.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
