About me

I am a BACP accredited psychotherapist offering short and longer term work for both individual counselling and couple counselling in my private practice in Central and West London. Approaching therapy for the first time can feel daunting and confusing. People from all walks of life come to see me for many reasons. Whether your having difficulties with communication within a relationship, suffering bereavement, coping with feelings of anger, looking for meaning in your life, finding it difficult to make decisions, depression or anxiety, taking the time to consider what's important to you will help you make better sense of your situation.
As an Integrative practitioner I will aim to provide a safe, confidential environment and through the establishment of a trusting therapeutic relationship will help you to explore past formative experiences and future concerns, which may be impacting your current choices and decisions, and in the ways that you form and maintain relationships with others, and how you see, think and feel about yourself.

Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or would like to book an initial no-obligation appointment. The initial session is an opportunity for us to spend a little time deciding if we feel comfortable with each other and would like to work together.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have a Masters Degree in Psychotherapy & Counselling in association with University of Wales. (Regents College School of Psychotherapy and Counselling). I would describe my particular style as an integration of psychoanalytic and humanistic theories with an emphasis on the therapeutic relationship.
I also practice ISTDP.

My professional experience was gained in both NHS and charity organisations.

Registered / Accredited

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
