About me

I support adults and older teens navigating anxiety, low self-esteem, emotional overwhelm, and the impact of, and recovery from, coercive control, abusive relationships and trauma bonds Therapy can help you begin to make sense of what has happened and find steadier ways forward.

My approach is pluralistic, drawing from person-centred, psychodynamic, and CBT approaches to shape therapy around your needs. This means we might explore emotions, relationship patterns, past experiences, thoughts, coping strategies, or the way difficult experiences have affected your sense of self.

Where helpful, I also use psychoeducation to support understanding of thoughts, emotions, nervous system responses, and survival patterns. I offer a calm, non-judgemental space where you can feel heard, reflect at your own pace, and begin rebuilding confidence, boundaries, resilience, and self-trust.

Training, qualifications & experience

With a Master’s degree in Psychology, a Professional Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapeutic Practice Level 5, and a Diploma in Counselling Skills and Theory Level 4, I bring both academic knowledge and practical experience to my work. I am also NCPS-accredited and registered with The King’s Trust.

My experience has included supporting people through anxiety, depression, low self-worth, difficult life changes, and the effects of past or ongoing relational harm. This has shaped the way I work: with sensitivity, curiosity, and an awareness that emotional distress is often connected to what someone has had to survive, adapt to, or carry for a long time.

What Sessions May Involve
Each session offers time to slow things down and look at what is happening beneath the surface. We may notice patterns, explore emotions, untangle mixed thoughts, or make links between past experiences and present responses.

Some sessions may feel reflective, while others may feel more practical. We might use grounding techniques, CBT-informed exercises, journalling prompts, or psycho-education where these feel useful.

How We Work Together
Therapy is not about being told what to do. It is a collaborative process where we regularly check in with what feels helpful, what needs adjusting, and what you would like to focus on next.

My aim is to offer a steady therapeutic relationship where you can speak openly, feel respected, and begin to understand yourself with more compassion.
