About me
My role as a counsellor is to create the environment for you to explore what is troubling you, in a comfortable and safe place, without fear of being judged.
My interest in becoming a therapist came 30 years ago, when numerous life events utterly overwhelmed me and left me struggling to make my way through each day. During many months of therapy I gained an immeasurable amount of insight into who and how I am in the world.
My personal belief is that we all have the solutions to our own life challenges inside us, however when times are incredible difficult we feel stuck and lost. I do not offer advice, or give a list of do's and don'ts, I work with my clients offering the time, space and opportunity to explore their thoughts and feelings. Whether you are suffering with anxiety, low mood, family or relationship difficulties, low self esteem, bereavement or going through separation or divorce, talking therapy can be incredibly useful and powerful.
If you wish to contact me, we can arrange a mutually convenient time for an initial session. At this session I can answer any questions you may have and talk through your needs and concerns. This initial appointment is for us both to have the space and time to decide if I am the right person to work with you, and if not, any other professionals who may be able to offer you more appropriate support.
I can currently offer weekly, weekday, daytime & evening 50 minute appointments. My session rates are £50 for individuals and £100 for couples. Pay by cash or bank transfer.
I am a Kink aware therapist.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
