About me

I am an Integrative BACP Registered Counsellor. I offer a confidential and supportive service for individual adults and couples from my private practice in Baughurst.

I provide both open-ended and short-term therapy, with sessions available face-to-face, online, or by telephone, offering flexibility to suit your needs and circumstances.

Along with my Counselling private practice, I work with the homeless in the local community.

I offer a safe, confidential space where whatever your reasons for seeking counselling, you will be heard, respected, and valued.

At different times in life, we all face challenges that can be hard to navigate alone. Asking for help can feel like a big step, but it’s often one that brings real and lasting change.

You might be going through a crisis or a difficult life transition — perhaps a change in your personal circumstances, a relationship breakdown, or challenges at work. Or you may be struggling with anxiety, stress, low mood, anger, frustration, fear, sadness, hopelessness, or loneliness that feels hard to manage or understand.

Sometimes these feelings stem from past experiences or unresolved emotions that continue to affect you today. You might notice repeating patterns in relationships or find yourself feeling stuck or unfulfilled, even if you can’t quite pinpoint why.

Counselling offers a space to explore these experiences, understand yourself better, and find new ways of coping and moving forward — helping you live a life that feels more balanced, meaningful, and satisfying.

I am a member of BACP

I have worked in a range of counselling settings, including:

  • A local hospice, supporting clients with the emotional and personal difficulties of long term illness and bereavement
  • A carers service, supporting clients with the complex difficulties of a carers role
  • A family bereavement service, where a child has suffered the loss of a parent or sibling.

In addition to my formal training, I have undertaken numerous shorter specialist trainings as part of my Continuing Professional Development (CPD).  I complete at least 30 hours of CPD each year, ensuring that my practice remains informed, ethical, and responsive to current developments in the field.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
