About me

Feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected? Find space to breathe, process, and heal.

Whether you're experiencing anxiety, struggling with self-esteem, or facing a significant life change, you don't have to navigate it alone. As a qualified counsellor, I offer a safe, non-judgmental space where we can explore what’s beneath these challenges and work towards meaningful change. Together, we’ll develop healthier ways of coping, increase self-awareness, and help you regain a sense of balance and direction.

I can help you to better understand and manage feelings of emotional distress, anxiety and stress, grief and loss, or struggles with relationship difficulties.

My role as a person-centred counsellor is to provide a safe, completely judgment-free space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings. You decide what we talk about, and how fast we move. I am here to walk alongside you as a steady support, helping you unpick feelings, events or situations, and to find clarity at a pace that feels entirely right for you. I use my knowledge and training to empower you to be able to make the changes you want and need, bringing relief and balance. Together, we will safely explore your experiences and how you see yourself, helping you reconnect with your own inner strength and to find your way forward.

I work both in-person and via remote sessions online. I have a calm and welcoming therapy space which is located in Stourport-on-Severn.

I offer professional counselling for adolescents and adults, as well as support to school settings and training workshops.  I have significant experience working with neurodiverse clients and work in a neuro-affirming way.

There are times in life when any of us can feel lost, anxious, unhappy or alone. Taking the first step in seeking support can feel the most difficult. My aim is to help make your experience a positive and empowering one. Reach out today to arrange your free, no obligation 20 minute consultation.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a fully qualified and experienced counsellor. I’m a registered member of the British Association for Psychotherapists and Counsellors (BACP) and follow their ethical framework.

I have worked across multiple settings, such as specialist bereavement counselling services, multi-disciplinary teams and education environments, as well as my private practice. I also deliver training workshops on a variety of subjects.

My practice is rooted in person centred counselling, which places your experience and perspective at the heart of the therapeutic process. In addition, I utilise aspects of other therapeutic modalities to enhance the work we do together, tailoring the therapy to meet your individual needs. Where appropriate, I offer creative and somatic therapy practices, alongside mindfulness-based interventions.

As well as my work with adults, I have a significant amount of experience working with children and adolescents (aged 10-18yrs). I specialise in young people's counselling, particularly additional needs. My therapeutic work with children and young people is grounded in creative, interest-based opportunities that foster self-discovery and expression, allowing them to explore their inner lives in a manner that feels natural and engaging. Alongside this, I incorporate psychoeducation to help demystify emotions and behaviours, empowering young clients with knowledge and tools for resilience. By nurturing strong, trusting therapeutic relationships, I provide a foundation of safety and acceptance, ensuring each child or adolescent feels seen, heard, and supported throughout their journey.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
