About me
Life can feel overwhelming at times—but you don’t have to go through it alone.
If you’re reading this, you’ve already taken a brave first step towards getting support.
Perhaps you’re struggling with anxiety, health anxiety, panic attacks, depression, stress, grief, anger, constant overthinking, or simply feeling stuck. Maybe you’ve experienced a loss, your confidence has disappeared, or life just doesn’t feel the way it used to. Whatever has brought you here, you don’t have to carry it on your own.
I offer a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly and honestly at your own pace. As a Person-Centred Counsellor, I believe you are the expert in your own life. My role is to listen, support and help you make sense of your thoughts and feelings so you can move forward with greater confidence and clarity.
Clients often tell me they feel comfortable talking to me because I offer a calm, friendly and down-to-earth approach. My aim is to help you feel heard, understood and accepted without judgement, so that together we can explore what is troubling you and help you move towards the future you want.
Alongside my counselling training, I am also a qualified Solution Focused Hypnotherapist. This has given me a deeper understanding of how the brain responds to stress, anxiety and unhelpful thought patterns, which enhances the support I offer through counselling. If, during our work together, you feel hypnotherapy may also be beneficial, we can discuss this, but there is never any expectation or pressure.
I offer both short and long-term counselling for adults, either face-to-face in Hornchurch or Barkingside, or online via Zoom or telephone. Appointments are available during the day, evenings and weekends, making it easier to fit counselling around your life.
Bereavement & Loss
Alongside supporting a wide range of emotional difficulties, I have a particular passion for helping people through grief and loss.
Grief isn’t limited to losing a loved one. It can also follow the loss of a relationship, a pet, a job, your health, your independence, or simply the life you expected to have.
Having volunteered for six years as a bereavement counsellor within a local hospice, I understand that grief is deeply personal. Whether your loss happened recently or many years ago, counselling can help you process your emotions, make sense of your experience and begin to heal at your own pace.
What to Expect
Finding the right counsellor is important, which is why I offer a free 15-minute telephone consultation.
This gives us the opportunity to get to know each other, discuss what has brought you to counselling and answer any questions you may have. There is no obligation to continue—it’s simply a chance to see whether we feel like the right fit.
I know taking that first step can feel daunting, so my aim is to help you feel comfortable, listened to and supported from our very first conversation.
