About me
Hello my name is Louise and I am an experienced counsellor/psychotherapist. I offer short-term and long-term individual face to face counselling in Clapham and South West London. I also work via Skype or Zoom.
Talking about your concerns is the first step to feeling better about yourself and moving forward. Therapy is an opportunity to explore your issues and conflicts creating a framework for a more positive outlook. I use a variety of approaches to help you work through and manage your problems on a day to day basis as well exploring underlying reasons and causes.
I work as a integrative, person-centred counsellor in a non directive way to help you through major life changes such as loss, bereavement and relationship problems. As well as with anxieties, depression, inner conflict and low self-esteem. Through my volunteer work with Woman's Trust and past counselling with Victim Support I have gained extensive experience helping individuals through emotional abuse, trauma, domestic and sexual violence.
I see people for long term or time limited therapy (incorporating CBT), adapting to working in the way most helpful to the individual. I listen carefully and build a relationship in a confidential, calm and safe atmosphere that encourages open and honest conversation on what can often be a painful subject, helping to develop self-awareness and insight.
I'm trained in Systemic Constellations. A constellation can reveal systemic influences and show where your energy may be blocked. It can show the way to align yourself and a deeper truth in relation to your family system. A constellation can also be a useful visual tool to help understand relationships, both personally and in the workplace.
I am happy to work face to face, online or by telephone. Please contact me to talk about what would be most convenient for you.

The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
