About me

I’m a fully qualified Integrative Counsellor and Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, offering a flexible and compassionate approach to therapy. By drawing on multiple therapeutic models, I will tailor our sessions to meet your individual needs, helping you navigate life’s challenges at your own pace.

My Experience -

My journey began with supporting teenagers in a secondary school environment, helping them navigate the emotional, social and academic challenges that often arise during adolescence. From there, my work has extended to individuals facing a range of life difficulties, including domestic abuse and social isolation, grief and loss and significant life transitions.

I also work with couples who are managing the complexities of modern life,  whether it's balancing demanding schedules, working through communication issues, dealing with financial pressures, or navigating the roles we take on within our family structures.

Modern day life can have a profound impact on our emotional wellbeing. The pressures and pace of everyday responsibilities can lead to feelings of depression and anxiety, including panic attacks. These experiences can create a sense of loneliness and disconnection, often causing inner unrest and a loss of connection to ourselves and others.

Across all areas of my work, I provide a safe, compassionate and non-judgmental space where clients feel heard, supported and empowered to explore their experiences.

Sometimes, people seek counselling without knowing exactly what’s wrong, only knowing that something doesn’t feel right. That’s okay, together, we can begin to explore those feelings and make sense of them.

What Is Counselling?
Counselling is a space just for you, a chance to talk freely, without judgement or pressure. You may be carrying difficult or painful thoughts and experiences that feel too overwhelming to face. Through the counselling process, we work together to:

Increase your self-awareness
Understand emotional patterns
Work through unresolved issues
Gain clarity in decision-making
Rebuild confidence and self-worth
Move toward a more positive, fulfilling life

Every person’s experience of counselling is different and that’s exactly how it should be.

How I Work
I offer an honest, confidential and non-judgemental service from two comfortable and welcoming locations. My role isn’t to give advice or direct your decisions, but to help you uncover your own insights, explore your challenges and move forward with greater confidence and clarity.

Ready to Begin?
Taking the first step can feel daunting, but it’s also a powerful act of self-care. If you’re ready to talk, or just want to find out more, please feel free to get in touch.

Warmest wishes,
Louise

Further information

Before becoming a Counsellor, I worked in the Finance, Banking, and Insurance sectors. After taking a career break, I used the opportunity to retrain in a field that had become meaningful to me. During a challenging period in my own life, I sought support from a Counsellor. That experience was truly empowering, it helped me make positive, life-changing decisions. It also inspired me to become a Counsellor myself, with the aim of supporting others as they navigate their own difficulties and work toward a more fulfilling life.

To ensure I provide the best possible support, I attend regular Supervision with a highly trained and experienced professional. This helps me to work ethically, safely and in the best interest of my clients. I also continually enhance my skills and knowledge through ongoing professional development and training.

I am fully insured with comprehensive liability coverage and hold a current, up-to-date DBS certificate.
