About me

I support people who are in some type of confusion or overwhelm.

People who are starting to question what's really, actually going on here?

You might be wondering how have I ended up in this situation? Or questioning, why does this specific thing keep on happening to me?

When you’re used to coping
Many of the people I work with are capable, thoughtful and used to managing things themselves. From the outside, they may appear to have things under control, successful careers, families, good friends and a life others would consider fulfilling.

While privately something may not feel quite right.

You may be questioning your choices, relationships, priorities or your sense of fulfilment. Perhaps you feel stuck in patterns you don’t fully understand, or you have reached a point where the ways you have always coped no longer seem to be working.

Making sense of things

I support people to explore themselves and their circumstances with honestly and clarity, so that they can reconnect with their own sense of choice, control and autonomy.

For some people, this might mean making sense of a difficult period or a significant life change. For others, it may involve looking at relationships, identity, choices, expectations or exploring exactly what it is they want from life now.

Taking the first step
If you recognise something of yourself here, you’re welcome to get in touch to arrange an initial consultation

You don’t need to have everything figured out and you don’t need to write a long explanation. Simply send me an email or leave a voicemail telling me a little about what's going on and if you can, include a few days or times that might work for you.

The initial consultation is an opportunity for us to talk about what’s going on for you, what you’re looking for and whether I might be the right person to support you, with no pressure or obligation to continue beyond the initial consultation.

It’s simply a chance to meet, talk and see whether working together feels right.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
