About me

Are you feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, or finding it difficult to make sense of what you're experiencing? Perhaps you're managing on the outside while struggling underneath. You may feel exhausted from carrying everything alone, disconnected from yourself, or caught in patterns that no longer serve you.

I am a BACP registered counsellor, Clinical Supervisor and EFT Practitioner offering counselling for children, young people, teenagers and adults in Leamington Spa, Warwick and Rugby, as well as online throughout the UK.

Many of the young people I work with are experiencing anxiety, low self-esteem, friendship difficulties, bullying, school pressures, exam stress, family changes or emotional overwhelm. Sometimes this can show up as withdrawal, anger, low mood, school avoidance or a loss of confidence. I provide a warm and supportive space where young people can feel heard, understood and accepted for who they are.

Alongside supporting clients with anxiety, trauma, self-esteem and life challenges, I also have experience working with ADHD and neurodivergent children, young people and adults. I recognise that everyone's experience is unique and aim to offer a flexible, person-centred approach that works with your individual needs and strengths.

My own experience of therapy was life changing. In my late thirties, although life looked good on paper, I knew something deeper needed attention. Therapy gave me a space where I could remove the mask, trust another person with both the light and darker parts of myself, and begin to understand what was happening underneath. That experience inspired me to retrain as a counsellor and support others on their own journey of healing and self-discovery.

Before becoming a counsellor, I spent many years supporting children, young people, families and vulnerable adults. This experience gave me a deep understanding of the challenges people can face throughout different stages of life and continues to shape the compassionate way I work today.

My approach is person-centred and trauma-informed. I believe meaningful change happens when we feel genuinely seen, heard and accepted. Together we can explore difficult experiences, develop greater self-awareness, build resilience and reconnect with who you truly are.

I work with a range of issues including anxiety, trauma, sexual abuse, low self-esteem, bereavement, depression, relationship difficulties, addiction, stress and life transitions. Alongside counselling, I can also incorporate Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT/Tapping), which can help reduce emotional overwhelm, anxiety and stress.

Taking the first step can feel daunting, but you don't have to do it alone. My aim is to offer a safe, compassionate and non-judgemental space where you feel valued, supported and able to move forward at a pace that feels right for you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
