About me
I offer a supportive and non-judgemental space to explore a range of emotional and psychological concerns, including anxiety, stress, depression, grief, unexplained sadness, and feelings of hopelessness. I also work with issues such as life transitions, attachment difficulties, loneliness and social isolation, low self-esteem and self worth, and identity exploration. You may be at a point where you are re-evaluating your life and goals - perhaps feeling stuck or directionless, or navigating a significant period of change or uncertainty around your sense of purpose. Whatever brings you to therapy, I aim to help you make sense of your experiences and support you in moving towards a more fulfilling and meaningful way of living.
I will offer you a space for you to feel heard, where you can speak freely about your inner world and emotional truths without judgement, and provide you an opportunity to explore the hidden parts of yourself that might feel too daunting to explore on your own.
I work psychodynamically. This approach gently explores underlying patterns and behavioural cycles, that might be manifesting as relationship or communication issues, low self-esteem, as well as anxiety and low mood amongst many other symptoms. Exploring these issues in therapy can provide you with empowering insight.
As well as examining your past experiences and current issues, I might also think with you to explore words you might use, stories you tell, any dreams and images you describe as a way of understanding what those experiences might be expressing, consciously or unconsciously.
Psychodynamic therapy is a collaborative and supportive process, and together we can begin to piece together your life and your experiences in new ways, imagining different ways of being.
I work from rooms in Wheathampstead and Tring, as well as online. I offer appointments Monday - Friday between the hours of 8am - 3pm. I offer a free introductory, 20 minute phone consultation. There is no obligation attached to this, it simply allows us to get to know each other a little better and for you to ask any questions you might have. You can book in with me via my directory, or you can contact me directly by email: louisagreenhilltherapy@outlook.com.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
