About me
Allowing you the time and space to share your experiences while listening to you and showing you compassion and understanding is a crucial aspect of my work. Finding a therapist can be difficult, particularly if you're going through a difficult time. My name is Loui, I work as an Adult and 12+ Children's and Young People's counsellor, and I supervise other counsellors, who work with both adults, young adults, and children and young people.
I have frequently seen how, when they truly feel heard and accepted without condemnation or judgement, people start to feel less heavy and overwhelmed in their lives. I'll provide an emotionally safe, confidential, and supportive environment where you're free to talk about whatever is causing you distress.
I can provide pre-trial therapy and operate in a trauma-informed manner. I have specialised training and experience in sexual abuse and trauma.
Women's issues, including puberty, fertility, infertility, conception, pregnancy, delivery, antenatal and postnatal care, childbirth, perimenopause, and menopause, are of special interest to me. Women experience so many changes in their lives, so if you can relate to this, I would like to support you.

Training, qualifications & experience
Having obtained an MA in Person-Centred Experiential Counselling and Psychotherapy from the University of Nottingham, I work as a Person-Centred counsellor. I have over 20 years of experience working in education with both adults and children before receiving my postgraduate degree.
I work in a trauma-informed manner and have a great deal of experience and training working with trauma. What has happened to you and the effects it has had on your life are of interest to me. I have a lot of experience working with people who have been sexually abused or victims of CSA, and I follow CPS guidelines when providing pre-trial therapy.
