Online Counselling Across the UK
ADHD | Autism | AuDHD | Anxiety | Burnout | Emotional Wellbeing
Perhaps you've spent years feeling different, trying to meet everyone else's expectations, or wondering why things that seem straightforward for other people can feel so overwhelming.
Maybe you're navigating a late ADHD or autism diagnosis, struggling with anxiety or burnout, or simply exhausted from holding everything together.
Whatever brings you to therapy, you deserve to feel heard, understood and accepted.
Hello, I'm Lorraine.
I'm an Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist, an NCPS Accredited member and BACP registered.
I believe in being human first and therapist second.
My approach is warm, genuine, down-to-earth and sometimes humorous. Therapy doesn't have to feel like a formal, clinical appointment. For me, it's about having an honest conversation with someone who genuinely wants to understand your experiences.
ADHD, autism and neurodivergence
I have a particular interest in working with autistic adults, people with ADHD and those who identify as AuDHD.
Whether you've received a diagnosis later in life, are exploring the possibility of being neurodivergent, or have always known you experience the world differently, you're welcome here. A formal diagnosis isn't necessary.
I understand how exhausting masking, people-pleasing, emotional overwhelm and constantly trying to fit into other people's expectations can become.
My approach is neurodiversity-affirming. I don't believe you need fixing, and I don't expect you to fit into a particular way of doing therapy.
We can work collaboratively, at your pace, in a way that respects your individual needs and communication style.
More than neurodiversity
Alongside ADHD and autism, I support adults experiencing anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, disordered eating, chronic pain and long-term health conditions.
I also have specialist training in supporting people navigating perimenopause, menopause and the emotional challenges surrounding bariatric surgery.
My own experiences of living with chronic illness have deepened my understanding of how physical health can affect our emotional wellbeing, relationships and sense of identity.
A little about my background
Before becoming a counsellor, I spent 13 years working within the London Ambulance Service and volunteered with Samaritans and SHOUT.
These experiences, alongside my counselling training and continued professional development, have shaped my belief that everyone deserves to have their story heard.
Online counselling throughout the UK
I offer individual online counselling for adults across the UK, allowing you to access therapy from a private, comfortable space that works for you.
Sessions start at £70, and I offer a free introductory telephone or online consultation so we can explore whether working together feels right.
You don't need to have everything figured out before getting in touch.
Just come as you are.
come as you are.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society This Not For Profit association of counsellors and psychotherapists aim to support the counselling profession, members and training organisations. In 2013 the NCS register was accredited by the Professional Standards Authority under the Accredited Voluntary Register Scheme. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
Areas of counselling I deal with
Other areas of counselling I deal with
Alongside general counselling, I have undertaken specialist training in supporting neurodivergent adults, particularly those navigating ADHD, autism, AuDHD, late diagnosis and autistic burnout.
I also have a particular interest in the relationship between neurodivergence and hormonal changes, including perimenopause, menopause and PMDD.
My work with chronic illness includes supporting individuals living with fibromyalgia, hypermobility, Ehlers-Danlos syndrome and persistent pain. I recognise that the emotional impact of these conditions can sometimes be overlooked.
I have also completed specialist training in counselling bariatric clients before, during and after weight-loss surgery, including the emotional complexities of changing relationships with food, body image and identity.
My approach remains integrative, person-centred and neurodiversity-affirming, recognising that each person's experiences and therapeutic needs are individual.
