About me

Therapy with me is a space to feel heard, supported and understood. I work with people navigating anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, relationship challenges, neurodiversity, and life transitions. You don’t need to have it all figured out, just willing to begin somewhere. I offer a warm, collaborative space that moves at your pace, guided by what feels most important to you. I believe therapy should be flexible, respectful and grounded in trust. Together, we’ll explore your experiences, build insight, and work toward meaningful change, however that may look for you. All you need to do is arrive as you are. That alone is a courageous beginning.

What sessions do you offer?

Sessions are available online, in person in Coventry, or via secure email therapy, accessible whether you prefer face-to-face connection, online accessibility, or reflective written work.

I offer integrative therapy tailored to you, drawing from person-centred counselling, CBT, trauma-informed and psychodynamic approaches, shaped by my background in family counselling and mental health. Therapy is a space to explore, reflect and grow. You need to feel safe enough to be open, honest, and vulnerable, especially when exploring difficult emotions.

What is email therapy?

Email therapy provides the same personalised, integrative support, but is delivered in writing. It gives you the space to reflect and express yourself at your own pace. You’ll have up to five therapeutic email exchanges each working week (Monday–Friday), with responses within 12 working hours and a 600‑word limit per email. This therapy is provided through ProtonMail, offering end‑to‑end encryption and password‑protected emails for security.

How can we begin?

We begin by completing an initial consultation form so we can see if working together feels suitable. This can be completed via an initial 15‑minute consultation call to talk through what you’re looking for and whether my approach resonates. Therapy should feel safe and supportive, with sessions shaped around your needs, whether that’s focusing on something specific, exploring emotions, or simply creating space to reflect.

If you’re unsure or this doesn’t feel accessible, please email me and we can discuss how to get started in a way that feels comfortable for you.

Training, qualifications & experience

Using an integrative approach, I tailor therapy to meet your unique needs, drawing from techniques such as person-centred counselling, CBT, psychodynamic therapy, and trauma-informed methods.

I hold a BA (Hons) in Philosophy from the University of Sheffield, along with Diplomas in Hypnotherapy and Introduction to Counselling Skills, as well as a Professional Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling Practice. My experience includes supporting clients through a range of challenges, helping them build insight, confidence, and lasting change. Combining this with a background in mental health social care, I have experience with working in family counselling, domestic violence, and trauma. I approach therapy as a collaborative process, empowering individuals to discover their own path to healing and personal growth.

Further information

I founded Being in Balance to provide therapy that goes beyond the limits of traditional services. For me, well-being isn’t about striving for perfection, it’s about finding a balance within yourself, even when life feels challenging.

Working in private practice means I can tailor therapy to you, offering a collaborative and supportive approach that meets your individual needs. Sessions are available online, in-person in Coventry, and through secure end-to-end email therapy. These options are designed to feel accessible, whether you prefer the connection of face-to-face work or the reflective space that email therapy provides.

Whether you’re looking for structured strategies, deeper exploration, or simply a safe place to be heard, my aim is to shape therapy around you, rather than expecting you to fit into it.
