About me
I am a BACP registered counsellor, specialising in supporting adults, children and young people with stress, anxiety, loss and grief, and low self-esteem. I have specialist training and experience in grief/bereavement counselling, as well as further training in counselling children & young people (Place2Be).
I have a comfortable, welcoming therapy space in Staines TW18 and I also work online.
How do I work?
I start by building a safe, trusting relationship, as research shows that this is key to effective therapy. As an integrative counsellor, I use a range of therapeutic approaches to meet individual needs. I particularly enjoy using sand tray and creativity to help clients to process more deeply in a safe way.
My approach is:
- trauma-informed
- neuro-affirmative
- LGBTQ+ friendlly
I take a holistic view of your difficulties, helping you to become more aware of the physical, psychological and emotional impact of your experiences.
Together we can identify coping strategies or perhaps delve deeper into root causes.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Additional information
Free 20 minute initial consultation
I offer a free 20 minute initial phone or online call as an opportunity to see how it feels to talk to me. You can talk about what sort of support you are looking for. We can also discuss how we might work together, and you can ask questions. After this, we might book a first session which is an assessment of your needs and an opportunity for you to decide whether you would like to continue having counselling with me. We would also discuss when your counselling would take place (generally weekly and at the same time every week).
Please email or call me to book your free 20 minute initial call.
